This is a Dorsett Golden Apple.  I can attest that it is perfectly suited for Phoenix, Arizona.  I harvested my first apple this week.  I was surprised how early it was ready.  Indeed, I could have picked it in May!  I like my apples a little green.

The tree was planted last year.  I plucked off most of the blossoms so that the tree would focus on growing and not reproducing, but I kept one just to taste the fruit.  Delicious!!
